Lion of Kashmir is
perfection
In holidays taken afloat.
You can search for and wide but believe us there's
not a more elegant boat.
The meals on the boat are fantastic
They're served by the ton everyday
The only shock comes when you leave here
The very next time that you wait.
The water for skiing is perfect
We wished that equipment was too.
We broke two ropes and a handle.
So see what you can get through.
The skiboat was built by the Romans
The engine by atilla the Nuh and despite the machine
who tends them
They still gave us plenty of fun.
Mohammed Wangnoo and
his family have been helpful in everyway. We would
like to thank them sincerely for such an enjoyable
stay.
If you read this book all here written that the time
here was much much too short.
We agree and we'll soon be returning to this boat,
to this lake, this resort

Hello Mohamed
You won't remember me but I remember you.
My friend Richard Chambers and I used to live in Bahrain
and we stayed in the Lion of Kashmir several times
in the early 1980's whilst you sold us enough carpets
to fit out a palace! What a pity that we couldn't
afford the actual palace!
I have just stumbled across your web site and it brought
back so many happy memories.
The last time I came to see you was on the 18th August
1986 with my fiancé Brenda, Richard Chambers
and his father.
stayed on the Lion of Kashmir until 22nd August.
Brenda has now been my wife for more than 16 years
and we still talk about our time on your houseboat.
There is no doubt that Lake Nageen is the most beautiful
place in the world.
The last few years have been very troubled for Kashmir
and we have often thought about you and your family.
We hope that you have all come through the turmoil
in good health.
We were thinking about you last week. It was Eid Al
Fitr and I remembered that we were with you one year
at the time of Eid and you kindly invited Richard
and I into your home to join in the feast. (We were
always very good at joining in feasts!)
One day we will come back to Kashmir and when we do
we will be staying on one of your houseboats.
With Kindest Regards
Keith Fox
Once again we have been royally cared for by our lovely
wangnoo family. Nothing is too much for them and we
have thoroughly enjoyed our time here again - especially
our talks with Haji Mohammed! We will return as soon
as possible - Inshalla!!

Every place in Kashmir
is so beautiful which make us feel in paradise. Everybody
in Kashmir is so friendly especially Mr. Wangnoo ,
Ashraf, Shakel Ahad
who make us feel at home!
Being Kashmir people are fortunate because they own
and enjoy the wonderful snow mountain and lakes every
minute

In the midst of the
chaos of our world at the present time we have been
heartened the past few days at the wonderful exchange
of thoughts and ideals here at Kashmir. It seemed
like an interesting movie to be old hippie travelers/business
people, I now middle aged grand parents sitting with
Mohammad wangnoo, grand patriarch of this incredible
family..American Buddhists talking politices , religion,
family, turmoil & morals with this brilliant Moslim
Haji, who sees all the world passing through this
valley, takes it all in and see what's happening in
the world, probably more clearly than many world leaders.
Yousuf and I spotted each other on Janpath and know
we were old friends and he immediately flew us off
to the wangnoos. This is a lovelry embracing family
full of the complex characters of a great family.
Thanks to wonderful Ashraf for taking care of everything.
to the women for being open and dear to my extremely
clever little girl friend Asma - to Yousuf for the
fantastic adventures and to Ahad for a million teas
and lovely meals and for contemplating every need
and situation.
It is beautiful here and magical in so many ways but
what is any of that without the beautiful Kashmiris
.we
leave our thanks and love

First and foremost,
we would like to say that No amount of words will
be able to express the feelings and emotions we have
experienced here in Kashmir. On arrival Ashraf made
us feel so at home..as soon as we set foot on Kashmir's
airport! Then,we were pampered very lovingly and abundantly
by our dear friend, and kind uncle Ahad - whose generosity
and caring nature will stay within our hearts forever.
Once more, thanks to Ashraf and his amazing family
- for their hospitality, is making us feel at home
and
we hope to return soon again Inshalla Love from all
of us.

What an experience , I would return anytime especially
in summer. The hospitality of our hosts were exceptional.
It was like being at home. Our needs and comfort were
uppermost in their minds. Being winter, it was exceptionally
cold but we were made very warm and comfortable. The
food and everything else was great. I would come back
again anytime and you can be sure that many more will
come after we get back home.
